Running of the Wools
Join us for a day that celebrates the rich agricultural heritage of Washington County and the deep-rooted connection between the region, its farmers, and the wool industry. Running of the Wools is a new and unique event honoring the important role sheep and farming have played in shaping our community.
Throughout the day, the Main Street Pavilion will be filled with:
• Agricultural exhibits and hands-on educational displays
• A children’s activity area
• A curated selection of craft vendors (including us!)
• A downtown breakfast crawl and exciting kitchen clash featuring local businesses
The festivities will culminate in the main event — the Running of the Wools, where our champion sheep will race through Main Street in a one-of-a-kind spectacle you won’t want to miss.
Stag & Spindle will be there with custom wool blends, fiber kits, spinning tools, and a hands-on wool experience area. Come say hello, explore the wool journey from sheep to skein, and shop our latest blends inspired by Scottish heritage.
